Dirty Vibrations (2010)
Dirty Vibrations was composed in early 2010 using Max/MSP. I had recently purchased a new guitar (Fender Strat) and I felt the need to write a piece using this new guitar.
Dirty Vibrations is the antithesis of Sun Kiss. Whereas Sun Kiss is calm and reflective, Dirty Vibrations is a loud, Rock n' Roll inspired piece utilizing the distortion pedal running through the Max patch.
This piece is a half-improv, half-notated work. The overall structure is composed but the details are left to the performer.
